I have seen a lot of Facebook posts regarding current Starbucks controversies. Though some of them ‘major on the minor’s (like a ‘red or green cup).’ Nonetheless most of them are sincere, well-intended, and have made some great points that I agree with. But the one commonality they all share, is ‘compromise.’ Which means that they still patronize Starbucks, hence financially supporting their antichrist agenda. The following is my speaker’s notes for an open-air sermon that I have preached at many Starbucks (on their outdoor patios) in many different States. Please consider this.
Can I see a show of hands, how many of you profess to be born-again Christians?
Did you know that Starbucks has taken a corporate position to support homosexual marriage, and abortion?
Did you know that Starbucks uses your money to participate in legal court battles, to fight against Federal law that recognizes a lawful marriage between one man and one woman?
Did you know that a portion of your monies, is financially funding homosexual rights issues (as well as other anti-biblical issues)?
Did you know that Starbucks signed a recent Supreme Court brief, in an effort to overturn the nation’s Defense of Marriage Act?
Did you know that Starbucks supports the largest abortion provider (Planned Parenthood) with their “matching gift programs,” aka a “Planned Parenthood: Shasta-Diablo contribution?”
Did you know that Starbucks run pro homosexual TV commercials?
Did you know that Starbucks is anti-Christ?
Did you now that Starbucks tells their employees to not use the greeting “Merry Christmas” (a minor one)?
Did you know that Starbucks is anti 2nd amendment (and anyone who supports it)?
Did you know that Starbucks vows to hire 10,000 Muslim refugees, over Americans?
Fact is, a portion of your purchase at a Starbucks, goes to fund their corporate assault on marriage.
On January 24th, 2012, Starbucks issued a memorandum declaring that same-sex marriage “is core to who we are, and what we value as a company.”
Though I do expect this from the world, but I do not expect ‘professed Christians to be unequally yoked with them. I am urging all professed Christians to not participate in the intentional act, of financially supporting such wickedness.
The Bible says in Eph 5:11, “And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them.”
James 4:4-5 says, “Adulterers and adulteresses, do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God?” whosover therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.”
1 John 2:15-17 says “Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16 For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not of the Father but is of the world. 17 And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever.”
Titus 1:13 says, “This witness is true. Wherefore rebuke them sharply, that they may be sound in the faith;”
You see it is a sin for a Christian to tolerate, condone, support, or acquiesce to sin. It says in Roms 1:32 says, “Who, knowing the righteous judgment of God, that those who practice such things are deserving of death, not only do the same but also approve of those who practice them.
Galatians 1:10 says, “For am I now seeking the approval of man, or of God? Or am I trying to please man? If I were still trying to please man, I would not be a servant of Christ.”
Don’t believe the lie, that it’s ‘unloving,’ or ‘legalism,‘ to take a moral Biblical stand. That is Biblical Christendom.
It’s says in Roms 12:9,”Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil. Cling to what is good.”
Amos 5:15 says, ‘Hate evil, love good; Establish justice in the gate. It may be that the Lord God of hosts will be gracious to the remnant of Joseph.”
Psalm 7:10-12 says, My defense is of God, which saveth the upright in heart. God judgeth the righteous, and God is angry with the wicked every day. If he turn not, he will whet his sword; he hath bent his bow, and made it ready.”
Hosea 4:6 says, ‘My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I also will reject you from being priest for Me; Because you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children.’
Nehemiah 4:14 says, “And I looked, and arose and said to the nobles, to the leaders, and to the rest of the people, “Do not be afraid of them. Remember the Lord, great and awesome, and fight for your brethren, your sons, your daughters, your wives, and your houses.”
Ezekiel 33:6 says, “But if the watchman sees the sword coming and does not blow the trumpet, and the people are not warned, and the sword comes and takes any person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood I will require at the watchman’s hand.’
