The shooting death of Ashli Babbit while breaking into the Chambers of the U.S. Capitol

I watched many videos of the fatal shooting of Ashli Babbit. She was a leader and primary aggressor as she attempted to break into the chamber’s lobby. As she was climbing through the broken-out window in the door, breaching the threshold, the officer placed his shot. Coupled with her actions, the verbal threats of her fellow rioters, and a totality of circumstances, the shot was reasonable, necessary, and Biblical to prevent even greater mayhem.

Sadly, even after her death, her fans and followers are claiming that she was shot “for no reason.” Others lied, claiming she was “Antifa.” That type of irresponsible denial or support is what will lead to more deaths of so-called “patriots.” What Babbit did was irresponsible, counter-productive, illegal, and irresponsibly dangerous, and should not be congratulated, celebrated, nor memorialized.

Tantamount to the protests of Antifa and Black Lives Matter, the actions of these rioters were sinful rebellion and lawlessness.

I also watched videos Babbit made before her death. In this video she was franticly (or hopelessly) consumed with both Trump and America, and this is more evidence why these people need the hope of the glorious Gospel.

To professing Christians.

If you profess to be born-again and are consumed by these worldly affairs, I implore you to repent, and not repeat. Not only are many professing Christians seemingly not trusting in the sovereign decrees (or judgment) of our Lord, but even fellow Pastors are adding fuel to this fire (on social media). Many of them have a log in their eye, as they only point at the sins of those Democrats as their own party continues in their own unrepented sins.

Our Commander in Chief gave us His marching orders called the Great Commission. But His Great Commission is not to be consumed with the affairs of this world, and pastors should not be so entangled in politics.

You therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. And the things that you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also. You therefore must endure hardship as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. No one engaged in warfare entangles himself with the affairs of this life, that he may please him who enlisted him as a soldier. And also if anyone competes in athletics, he is not crowned unless he competes according to the rules. The hardworking farmer must be first to partake of the crops. Consider what I say, and may the Lord give you understanding in all things (2 Timothy 2:1-7).

The Bible describes the things of this world as nothing but “vanity.” As a follower of Christ, I am to be not of this world, as my citizenship is in heaven.

Yes, I am praying for Babbitt’s husband and family, and I’m also praying for the officer that took that difficult shot.

Lastly, I would ask you to consider reading my below short read on the Glorious Gospel and repent and believe in the Christ of this Good News. That is the Biblical way to “Make America Great Again.”

And if the Lord does save you, the following is a summary of the Christian’s new way of life.

Love ‘biblically’ – repent – be salt and light – be holy – be sanctified – to be against the world – fear God – pray without ceasing – keep His commandments – grow in His grace and knowledge – put on the whole armor of God (and use it) – walk circumspectly – believe in and trust Jesus – obey the Gospel – share the Gospel – preach the Gospel – contend for the faith, – disciple each other – live Godly in Christ Jesus – hate the things that God hates, and love the things that God loves – rejoice in sufferings – don’t flinch in the face of adversity – keep the faith, work-out your salvation, and endure to the end!

UPDATE 01/14/21: As these terrorists are identified and arrested, I will be adding those links in the comments section below. So far no “Antifa,” but many off duty police officers. 😒
