Video of the ‘Biography of Leonard Ravenhill: In Light of Eternity’
I don’t usually promote books. Perhaps Lord willing and time willing, I may read this one. Leonard Ravenhill was one of the best preachers. America surely needs more preachers like him. Mr Ravenhill, you’ve been tagged.
Update Jan 12th, 2014: Today I started reading this book. Lord willing in the comments below, I will share some observations made.

Today I started reading this biography. Ravenhill was one of the best Evangelists in the modern era. Tomlinson writes the following in the introduction. “While it is true that Leonard loved Christian biography, I am not convinced that he would have participated in a book about his own life for one simple reason. He agreed with the sentiment of Professor John Murray, the Scottish Theologian who said, ‘Humility, contrition and lowliness of mind are of the essence of Godliness.’ Ravenhill, like Murray, detested the idea of making a name for himself.”
Today many believers worship evangelists treating them like celebrities. Today you don’t have to wait for the more well-known evangelist(s) to die, before someone else writes their biography. Because today we have many that have written their own biographies, calling them “memoirs.” At least one has written more than one biography (about himself.) Could you imagine thinking that you’re important enough to write a book about yourself? Were all called to give our testimonies, but we’re not called to write books about ourselves. Lord bring up more Ravenhill’s.
