The Bobcat, a near miss caught on dashcam

In 4K, enlarge to full screen. Near misses with wildlife on country roads are common. But rarely do I see Bobcats on the road during daylight. Albeit they frequent our property.

While my wife and I were enjoying a stroll along this country highway, a chunky Bobcat sprinted right in front of our vehicle. Thankfully, we were only going 47 MPH in a 55 MPH zone; otherwise, we would have struck this beautiful creature.

Upon viewing this footage later, I could see the Bobcat had a small meal in his/her mouth. This beats big city life; this is where we belong. As John Denver sang. “Country roads, take me home to the place I belong…” Soli Deo Gloria!
