What is a Reformed Church? Are you a RINO?
No, this presentation is not political. The RINO I spoke of is a church, or person that is Reformed In Name Only. This is a historical overview of a Reformed – Calvinist church. Regretfully I failed to mention the importance of covenant theology over the errs of dispensationalism that have crept into some so-called “reformed” churches.

With the recent news about the world protesting across America, here are my thoughts. The first quarter of the 21st Century has come and is almost gone. And it seems a majority of those who alleged to be “reformed” here in “Bible Belt” Tennessee are not.
.
Most who claim to be Calvinists are not. They are not Protestants, instead they are crypto, quasi, and/or ecumenical Arminians. And since many Dispensationalists are unwisely advocating the thought of the U.S.A. going to war with Iran, I must include them in their anti-reformation rhetoric.
.
Instead of these professing “reformers” being as bold as the Lion of the Tribe of Judah, they’ve become like the cowardly lion in The Wizard of Oz. There’s no more dog in the fight. They have no skin in the game, except it’s not a game. The cowardly lion trembles while saying, “We don’t want to be dogmatic!” But I say, let’s make Dogmatic Theology great again.
.
Only by the grace of God did the Lord save the wretched man I am. Only by the grace of God did He not annihilate me for any errors in my teaching or if I’ve ever withheld any valuable truths. Only by the grace of God did He grant me repentance. Holy Spirit willing may more of His elect repent. It frightens me to wonder where the aforementioned compromising pastors and Bible teachers fall, in Luke 12:46-48 or 1 Corinthians 3:14-15.

Let’s make Protesting great again.! Let’s make the Protestant Reformation great again. Semper Reformanda!

The below is from my Pocket Dictionary of Theological Terms. Albeit I am Baptist and Reformed.

“Protestantism, Protestant principle. Protestantism is the product of the “protestation” movement within Christianity that originated in the sixteenth-century Reformation and was later focused in the main Protestant traditions (Lutheran, Calvinist/Presbyterian and Anglican/Episcopalian). Because Protestants emphasized the primacy of Scripture against the Roman Catholic elevation of tradition alongside the Bible, the Protestant principle suggests that believers ought to read and seek to understand the Scriptures, and that church practice ought to be continually subjected to the scrutiny of Scripture. The Protestant principle declares that the final authority in the church is the Holy Spirit speaking through the Scriptures.”

One of the Five Solas of the Reformation is the Latin phrase Soli Deo gloria, which means ‘glory to God alone.’ That does not mean glory to this person plus God, or glory to God plus that person. It doesn’t mean glory to your celebrity pastor or; it means glory to God alone.

“And immediately the angel of the Lord smote him, because he gave not God the glory: and he was eaten of worms, and gave up the ghost.” – Acts 12:23
.
“For of him, and through him, and to him, are all things: to whom be glory for ever. Amen.” – Romans 11:36
.
“Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen.” – 1 Timothy 1:17
.
“I am the Lord: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images.” – Isaiah 42:8
