Al Mohler on female podcasters, on the surface, it appears he’s repenting in the right direction, but
There is considerable online controversy over Albert Mohler’s May 15th, 2026 podcast. Though I am not a follower or fan of Al Mohler, I did watch the video. During the Q&A portion at timestamp 12:41, a woman from an SBC church asked him the following question.
“The church started a podcast where the pastor and staff answer follow-up questions about the Sunday sermon… The purpose of the podcast is to expound on the sermon, exposit the Word of God to the whole church, and offer practical application advice. The problem is, one of the staff members on the podcast is a woman. She is not a pastor by role or title, but I believe she’s acting as a pastor in this context because she’s giving advice to the whole church body.”
Mohler did rightfully respond, saying, “And yes, I do see that as a problem.” On the surface, it appears Albert Mohler is repenting in the right direction. But his response was too timid. It is much worse than a “problem.” Her egalitarianism (woman on the podcast) and the beta males who participated in that podcast are in sin. Any woman preaching, teaching, or demonstrating ecclesiastical authority inside the church, outside the local church (i.e., conferences), or on the internet, is in sinful rebellion against God and His order of creation. It is a bisexual anthropology, a form of transgenderism, and a part of the world’s gender identity crisis.
Then, on May 18th, Mohler released a short video announcing his intent to amend the SBC constitution. He said,
“I’m going to move that the messengers to the Southern Baptist Convention meeting in June 2026 amend the constitution of the SBC to add an enumerated sixth item under Article 3, Paragraph 1, defining composition. This new language would make clear that a cooperating Southern Baptist Church does not act to affirm, appoint, or endorse a woman serving in the office or function of a pastor, elder, overseer, such as preaching to the assembled congregation.”
I don’t see the corrupted SBC voting this in. The fact is, the same Southern Baptist Theological Seminary (SBTS), which Al Mohler is currently president of, trains and equips female students for the ministry, as well as staffing female professors (aka egalitarianism). Seminaries were created to train men for the ministry, not women.
Though I am a Baptist who lives in the South, I am not a member of a Southern Baptist Church. As I stated in this article, a majority of the churches I’ve visited in Tennessee are sinfully egalitarian.
Nonetheless, the following still needs to be said.
Pastors who are willing to oppose females holding the title pastor, or office titles, but still approve them demonstrating authority on the internet, are tantamount to those who are only willing to oppose transgenderism, but not homosexuality in general. They are sinister ministers.
Make no mistake, egalitarianism and feminism are synonymous. An egalitarian is a feminist, and a feminist is an egalitarian. But like Adam in the garden, we cannot solely blame that on the women; it’s not just Eve’s fault. The responsibility is on man. As pro-feminist, complementarian, quasi-egalitarian “men” like Costi Hinn, Ken Ham, James White, and Tom Ascol are capitulators, promoters, and platformers of this sinful rebellion against God’s Divine order of creation. As they platform or partner with women on podcasts or the conference stage. It is worse than mere error; it is theological malpractice.
As I’ve said before, while displaying a photo of Tom Ascol sharing the same stage as Allie Beth Stuckey.
Though all egalitarianism is sinister. Female Egalitarians (aka Feminists) are not the greatest threat to Christendom. The greater threat is the pro-feminist men like Tom Ascol, et. al., who capitulate to Feminists (Egalitarians) by giving them a platform for their rebellion. Ascol, who apparently opposes patriarchy, boasts in coining the phrase “cage-stage-patriarchy” as an ad hominem attack or gaslighting technique in an attempt to silence or discredit those who hold to a Biblical Patriarchal Theology.
A solution to this problem is to abolish extra-biblical parachurch ministries like the SBC and Founders ministry, et.al., and practice these two doctrines that were emphasized yesterday at a church. Sola Scriptura and the sufficiency of Scriptures.
Nonetheless, the judgment of Almighty God is inevitable. Lord, let Your will be done!
Update 07/04/26: This latest SBC news provoked me to write the article below. The Bible’s prohibition on women preaching or teaching the church is stricter than the SBC compromise.

UPDATE ON THE VOTE. On the surface, to undiscerning optimists, the #SBC banning female pastors or women preaching or teaching from the pulpit looks good. But what would have been something to celebrate would be banning all egalitarianism. Unfortunately, their egalitarianism will continue. Oh, sure, some of the SBC churches will change titles, but their complementarianism will not change roles. They’ll just repackage and relabel their feminists to lead or teach over here and there.
.
For starters, let’s talk about their newly elected President, Willy Rice. He pastors Calvary Church in Clearwater, FL. (CCC). According to an analysis of their website, they are egalitarian. Oh, CCC may not call them “pastors,” but it sinfully has many women in leadership positions across various ministries, calling them “Director” and “Lead Director.” They’ve got women leading all over the place. They have them front and center on the stage. They even gave a pulpit, I mean a podcast, to one in her immodest sleeveless shirt that displays her manly fully tattooed arm.
.
As most, his mega church is heterodox, not orthodox. They are unbiblical in many ways, including but not limited to.
.
Their church has multiple “campuses” that emphasize getting a “service experience.” It is man-centered, even holding signage that tells the people, “You’re #1.” They have unbiblical “Children and student ministries” and contemporary entertainment. A VBS “Illumination Station” with a “fun-filled adventure.” An X150 movement with a “vision to multiply God’s blessings by 150.” There’s much more unbiblical nonsense, but in the interest of time, you get the point. That’s the church pastored by the new SBC President.
.
Nonetheless, I might be celebrating if the corrupt SBC repented and decided to practice the doctrine of the sufficiency of Scripture, and the principle “Thus saith the Lord!” In other words, they would never have to vote on an issue that the Scriptures already forbid.
.
They will wrongfully claim I’m divisive. But the divisive ones are those that sinfully disregard God’s Word with their contra Scriptura convention. As I’ve said for years. The solution to his problem is to abolish the corrupt SBC. Run from the SBC and their Rome-like hierarchy.
