District Attorney Matthew Barton’s righteous press release re “pastor” Lindsey Whiteside of Getwell Church, “She used the Gospel of Jesus Christ as a weapon!”
Thank you, Sir, for calling the judge’s decision “an abomination,” and for your righteous rebuke of the sexual predator and the system that gave her such a light sentence. As well as calling out corrupt public school officials. Below are my comments regarding an unbiblical ecclesiology that fosters this environment.
As I have had to say too many times before. A solution to this problem is to run from a so-called “church” that has “youth ministries,” or “youth pastors.” Run from a “church” that is egalitarian. Run from “churches” that falsely claim God loves everyone the same and lie claiming Christ atoned for the sins of everyone. And, as they falsely claim, “if we will reach out and accept” the Lord, you are an alleged Christian, hence creating false converts. Though that’s usually Arminianism, in this case it’s Wesleyanism. Run from “churches” with a bulletin full of extra-biblical ministries (aka programs). Run from any churchman who wants to spend time with your children. Run from synagogues of Satan that allow homosexuals or fornicators to join – Run! None of the aforementioned practices can be found in the Scriptures. Which is a nice way of saying those “churches” are unbiblical. Find a church that is ‘family integrated’ and that practices a regulative principle of worship (RPW). For a position paper on an RPW, click here, and an excellent article warning of ‘youth ministries’, click here.
Update: October 23, 2025 – Following her sentencing on state charges, a federal grand jury indicted Whiteside. She was subsequently rearrested on federal charges for “transporting a minor across state lines with the intent to engage in sexual activity.” For more information, visit this link.

Another “youth pastor,” is found to be a sexual predator. According to FOX Carolina News, this one Daniel Kellan Mayfield of Gowensville Baptist Church in Landrum So. Carolina. A brief overview of their unbiblical church shows they are your typical Big Eva #SBC who practices egalitarianism, a normative principle of worship, patriotic holiday celebrations, and gender and age segregation, and lots of extra Biblical programs. I mean, they even offer a “Hot Dogs Music Fellowship.”

WHITE PINE, TENN. Pastor Wesley Brobeck of freedom Fellowship Church of White Pine, Tenn.
I can’t keep up with these “Youth Ministry” arrests here in the unbiblical “Bible Belt” Tennessee. According to the White Pine Police dept., ANOTHER “Youth Pastor” has been arrested for sexual allegations. This one pastor Wesley Brobeck of freedom Fellowship Church of White Pine, Tenn. Though there’s always a possibility the allegation is false, if he is guilty he should be prosecuted. Moreover, even if the charges are false, this all could have been avoided. As I have had to say too many times before. A Biblical orthodox church that is one loaf (1 Cor. 10:16-17) rather than a Weber’s sliced bread ecclesiology.

According to the below source, another “Worship pastor,” David Rodgers of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, Owensboro, KY., is charged with horrid sex crimes against children. Except this one commited suicide. They advised his “position of special trust” was relevant. As I’ve said many times before. Had this unbiblical “church” not had unbiblical positions like “worship pastor,” and their unbiblical entertainment band up front, this probably never would have happened (at least not from a “position of special trust”). After doing a brief analysis of their website (screenshots below), which they unpublished, it is full of unbiblical ministries, including a special interest in children and youth, and the heretical “Accept Jesus” soteriology (which creates Goats & Wolves). And, again, as I’ve said before.
A solution to this problem is to run from a so-called “church” that has “youth ministries,” or “youth pastors.” Run from a “church” that is egalitarian or complementarian. Run from “churches” that tell you to “accept Jesus.” Run from “churches” with a bulletin full of extra-biblical programs. Run from any churchman who wants to spend time with your children – Run! None of the aforementioned practices can be found in the Scriptures. Which is a nice way of saying those “churches” are unbiblical.
