EBOLA-1024x775

As the video description reads. “A deadly epidemic is on the loose in America. It’s not an Ebola epidemic. It’s an epidemic of fear. In this must-see FIREWALL, Bill Whittle tells us not only that we should be optimistic, but WHY we should be optimistic, as well as what was done right, what was done wrong, and what needs to be done in the future.”

May I add the following preface to this 7-minute video below. Mr. Whittle gave a fair balanced presentation, without the hyperbola that we see so much of. However as a Christian (a follower of Christ) I must give a Biblical perspective / application to this video.

Regarding trust:
Are you trusting in the government, the CDC, and medicine more than the Lord?

Whittle is correct saying that our government is incompetent and corrupt. That’s why the Bible forewarned us, “Put not your trust in princes [leaders], nor in the son of man [mankind], in whom there is no help” (Psalm 146:3).

Jeremiah 17:5 says “Thus saith the Lord; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the Lord.”

Proverbs 3:5-7 says “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him [the LORD], and he shall direct thy paths. Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the Lord, and depart from evil.”

Regarding fear:
Are you fearing Ebola more than the Lord? If so you need to take the hyperbola out of the Ebola, and trust in, and fear the Lord (which can only be accomplished in Salvation).

If you are a born-again Christian (a repented, believe in and obey the Gospel, follower of Christ) then you have absolutely nothing to fear. But if you’re not, then fear is warranted.

The Bible makes it very clear that “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction (Proverbs 1:7).

What did the Greatest Physician Jesus Christ say about whom we should fear? Let’s hear from both Matthew and Doctor Luke.

Matthew recorded in 10:28 “And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him [Christ] which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.”

Doctor Luke recorded in Luke 12:5 “But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him [Christ], which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him.”

I believe Ebola has come to America for the following four reasons (no I am not a prophet).

  1. Most of America, and much of the professed ‘church’ do not have a Biblical ‘fear of the Lord.’
  2. Most of America, and much of the professed ‘church’ do not trust in the Lord.
  3. The Lord Jesus forewarned that ‘viruses will increase’ in the end of end times.
  4. The Lord is sovereign, and He surely allowed it. Frankly our immoral God hating nation deserves His judgment.

The Lord Jesus’ following prophetic warning looks like Section A, Column 1 of today’s newspaper headlines.

“And Jesus answered and said unto them, take heed that no man deceive you. For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. And ye shall hear of wars and rumors of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences [viruses], and earthquakes, in divers places. All these are the beginning of sorrows. Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name’s sake. And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another. And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come” (Matthew 24:4-13).

Now go share the Gospel with as many lost souls as you can, in this dark, desperate, dying lost world.

“Give me one hundred preachers who fear nothing but sin, and desire nothing but God, and I care not a straw whether they be clergymen or laymen; such alone will shake the gates of hell and set up the kingdom of heaven on Earth.” ~ John Wesley
