Our ‘fallen nature’ desires to boast about our efforts, and/or our “results.” But as the Scripture says, “But he that glorieth [boast], let him glory [boast] in the Lord” (2 Cor 10:17).
Evangelism is not a ball game to see how many souls I can profess to win to Christ. Evangelism is a matter of eternal life, or eternal damnation. Only the Lord knows the heart, but in time we can examine the fruit.
