Freedom truly does ring in Rural Tennessee!
One of our neighbors invited us to their annual freedom party. There were vehicles parked all over their acreage, and people and their lounge chairs congregated in various spots throughout the property. As we all enjoyed this spectacular show, which showcased a breathtaking display of freedom, it also featured explosions that reminded me of concussion grenades. At one point, a mushroom cloud exploded in the sky. In California, the faint-hearted would be calling 911. But here in rural Tennessee, in the back of the woods, freedom truly rings and explodes. As the Scottish Reformer John Knox said, “Resistance to tyranny is obedience to God!”
