In this very short video Warren Wiersbe warns of the false converts that the Apostle Paul faced. Today many open-air preachers face the same challenge. Some our biggest opposition is by those that profess to be Christian.
One well-known So Calif evangelist has stated many times via YouTube, that the aforementioned are simply misguided believers, and that we should always extend grace to them.
Who then shall we listen to? A young post-modern evangelist? Or seasoned men like Wiersbe, and the great Apostle Paul that have discernment? I’d prefer to listen to men like Wiersbe or the Apostle Paul. As Wiersbe stated “I think it’s important that we keep in mind, that Satan is a counterfeiter. And because he is a counterfeiter, we have to have discernment.”
As I’ve said many times before, next to Christ the Apostle Paul is my main ‘mentor of evangelism.’
These professed Christians (or false converts) that attempt to impede the Glorious Gospel need to be rebuked, corrected, and instructed. “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works (2 Timothy 3:16-17).
