The DHS ICE shooting of Renee Nicole Good in Minneapolis, Minnesota
On January 7, 2026, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) was performing law enforcement duties.
According to various news accounts and social media posts, 37-year-old Renee Nicole Good (aka Renée Nicole Macklin) was fatally shot by law enforcement after she refused to comply with their lawful demands. But instead, she accelerated in the direction of an ICE Agent, placing him and others in danger.
President Trump referred to her as a “professional agitator.”
According to Rapid Response on X, DHS Secretary Kristi Noem 1 gave the following press release. In summary, she advised Nicole Good was part of a “mob of agitators, that were harassing them all day, they began blocking them [ICE] in, shouting at them, and impeding law enforcement operations…” She further advised that Good was “blocking the officers in with their vehicle, and she was stalking and impeding their work all throughout the day… She then proceeded to weaponize her vehicle… It was an ‘act of domestic terrorism.” See the press release here or video below for more.
Liberals and anti-police activists are posting one video of the shooting from a particular angle in slow motion, giving the impression that the officers were not in danger. But as I said in one comment. The officers did not get a chance to watch what would occur in slow motion before it occurred.
Nonetheless, Renee Good succumbed to her fatal injuries.
Some background on Renee Good.
According to the Daily Mail, Good was once married to the late comedian Timothy Macklin.
According to the New York Post, an unidentified woman who was at the scene said she was Nicole Good’s “wife.”
According to the Independent, Nicole married a woman named Becca Good (most likely the unidentified woman who was on scene).
Since the shooting, liberals are lauding Renee Good as a good person, a victim of police brutality, and murder.
According to various sources, in 2020, Renee Nicole Macklin was an undergraduate in the English Department at Old Dominion University in Virginia. Where she “won the prestigious Academy of American Poets Prize for a poem called “On Learning to Dissect Fetal Pigs.”
Let’s look at her poem, and then I’ll close with final remarks.
On Learning to Dissect Fetal Pigs
by Renée Nicole Macklin (aka Renee Good)“i want back my rocking chairs, solipsist sunsets, & coastal jungle sounds that are tercets from cicadas and pentameter from the hairy legs of cockroaches.
i’ve donated bibles to thrift stores (mashed them in plastic trash bags with an acidic himalayan salt lamp—the post-baptism bibles, the ones plucked from street corners from the meaty hands of zealots, the dumbed-down, easy-to-read, parasitic kind):
remember more the slick rubber smell of high gloss biology textbook pictures; they burned the hairs inside my nostrils, & salt & ink that rubbed off on my palms. under clippings of the moon at two forty five AM I study & repeat ribosome endoplasmic—lactic acid stamen at the IHOP on the corner of powers and stetson hills—i repeated & scribbled until it picked its way & stagnated somewhere i can’t point to anymore, maybe my gut—maybe there in-between my pancreas & large intestine is the piddly brook of my soul. it’s the ruler by which i reduce all things now; hard-edged & splintering from knowledge that used to sit, a cloth against fevered forehead. can i let them both be? this fickle faith and this college science that heckles from the back of the classroom now i can’t believe— that the bible and qur’an and bhagavad gita are sliding long hairs behind my ear like mom used to & exhaling from their mouths “make room for wonder”—all my understanding dribbles down the chin onto the chest & is summarized as:
life is merely to ovum and sperm and where those two meet and how often and how well and what dies there.”

I have many questions about her poem. I’d like to know more about the Bibles she “plucked from street corners from the meaty hands of zealots.” I’ve had my share of Bibles destroyed or taken from me while preaching in the streets.
Admittedly, I’m not a gifted writer, and my English ain’t that good. But it’s incredulous that her above poem received a “prestigious reward.” But that’s today’s universities for you.
As a Christian, it is not my duty to be loyal to a political party; it is to be an advocate of the truth. Here’s where I’m going to get in more trouble with my Republican friends.
There are many similarities between Renee Nicole Good and Ashley Babbitt, in my opinion. Both were feminists, both were agitators, and both were immoral. Both were looking for trouble, and both found it. The difference is Democrats will propagandize off of one, and Republicans off the other.
Similar to Ashli Babbitt, Renee Nicole Good was not a good person. The Scriptures say there’s “no one good” (Psalm 14:3, Rom. 3:9,12). As I’ve said before. There’s nothing good about me except the goodness of God and the righteousness of Christ!
In fact, as Good’s poem and lifestyle revealed, the Scriptures say. “The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?” – Jeremiah 17:9
Good will now stand before Almighty God, and she will have to give an account, and according to the Scriptures, it does not look good for her.
But there is Good News for God’s elect. Upon salvation, His elect will receive a new heart and the add-intra goodness of God.
To know more about being saved from our sins and the wrath of God (as I was), read my Good News tract here or below.
- For the record, I do not support Kristi Noem in leadership, nor do I believe in Federal law enforcement. I believe law enforcement should be kept local. Imagine that, a patriarchal, small government, limited government, states’ rights, conservative kind of guy. ↩︎

“‼️The former brother-in-law of Renee Nicole Good, who was shot in Minneapolis, says she should have “minded her own business.”
Former brother-in-law Joseph Macklin told The Daily Mail, “She had no reason to be there, in my opinion.”
“It had nothing to do with her. She shouldn’t have been in the way. She had nothing to do with the ICE agents or immigration, so she shouldn’t have been there.”
“She should have minded her own business.”
Good leaves behind three children… One bad choice can cost you your life. Had she been home being a mother, she’d still be alive today.
This is heartbreaking for her family, but the reality is that actions have consequences, and this could have been avoided.”
