A young women acts immature & disrespectful in court. The judge raises the bail, she flips the judge off – watch what happens next
Disclaimer: Ms. Penelope Soto should be considered innocent, unless proven guilty in the court of law!
On 02-04-13, 18-year-old Penelope Soto appears at a video conference hearing. before Circuit Judge Jorge Rodriguez-Chomat, in a Miami Florida courthouse.
It appears that she was trying to claim ‘indigent’ before the judge. An ‘indigent defense’ means that she cannot afford to pay for her own private defense attorney. Therefore, according to the law, “an attorney will be appointed to you free of charge.”
However she acts immature, and boasts about having ”a lot of jewelry.” Due to her disrespect to the judge, he raises her bail on one count. She then spoke inappropriately, and flipped the judge off.
Prayerfully if Penelope becomes saved while in jail, she can ponder on this verse. “Submit yourselves for the Lord’s sake to every human institution, whether to a king as the one in authority, or to governors as sent by him for the punishment of evildoers and the praise of those who do right. For such is the will of God that by doing right you may silence the ignorance of foolish men. Act as free men, and do not use your freedom as a covering for evil, but use it as bondslaves of God. Honor all people, love the brotherhood, fear God, honor the king.” 1 Peter 2:13-17
Watch to see how the judge handled this. At least he’s trying to correct this new lost generation. Now she can’t bail out for 30 days. Download video here, or play below in YouTube.

FYI: This verse does not apply to the church if the governments laws goes against the Scriptures. Christians are to always obey Gods Word over mans law.
Looks like there has been some progress in Ms Sotos rehabilitation. Pray she and many others will find Victory in Christ http://usnews.nbcnews.com/_news/2013/02/25/17092218-teen-who-flipped-off-florida-judge-back-in-court?lite
